Early yesterday morning around 2 AM, my friends, Mindy, Remona and Rakin went to IHOP to fill our growling stomachs after singing our hearts out for 2 and a half hour at a karaoke studio. As we were eating, I heard a really familiar song playing in the background. As soon as I recognized the song, I blurted out:

Me: Don’t you guys recognize this song? It’s “How Did We Get” by Lee Hyori ft. Daesung and there is an English version of it by Jason Derulo ft. Auburn.

Mindy: Umm no. This song sounds like Nicki Minaj.

Remona: Yeah, it sounds like that song by her.

Me: Never heard anything like this from her…

As we continue to listen, it didn’t sound like Nicki Minaj,  Jason Derulo, or Lee Hyori but I was DEAD SURE that the melody of the song being played was the exact melody in “How Did We Get.

The version by Jason Derulo is actually called “How Did We.” The “Get” isn’t part of the title.

This version is by Lee Hyori and I heard it before I heard Jason Derulo’s version, hence I like it better.

As I was youtube-ing these songs…I SAW THIS COMMENT….dun dun dun!

I youtubed the song and guess what!? “Your Love” uses the exact same melody but it is played softer in comparison to the other two.

So in the end, what we all said were correct BUT I still don’t know what song was being played at that time! The music was so faint, I couldn’t really tell what the singer was singing but I did hear a man’s voice and it sounded country-ish so definitely not Jason Derulo. So there must be another song that uses that same beat that I don’t know of OR I was too tired at 2 AM in the morning to think/hear properly!

Entry #1: Why did I start blogging?

My friend started a blog so I decided to start one too, since all the cool kids are doing it these days, ya know? Well at least that’s what I think the cool kids are doing these days…Anyhow, I find the idea of blogging really interesting because you can write about basically anything but sometimes there’s so many things to write about that you don’t know where to start!

This post will be dedicated to the friend that has inspired me to enter “The World of the BLOGS!” And this friend of mine is named Laura.

I met Laura at school a little over a month ago and we get along very well.  It will take too much time to give a sense of who Laura really is to you fellow bloggers so I would like to give a brief synopsis of who she is through a Name Poem…I think that’s what you call those type of poems. Forgive me if I am wrong!
